About

The founder

Antoine Servant, founder of Synap

Antoine spent five years building sovereign infrastructure in Web3 before arriving at the question behind Synap: why does every AI start from zero? Why does switching tools mean losing your context?

He designed and built the entire Synap platform solo — 47 API routers, 72 cells, 17 apps, and a full desktop client. Previously CTO at Hashguard, co-founder of Epitaphe Protocol and The Signal.

He thinks in systems. Synap is built the same way: simple primitives that compose into emergent complexity.

The mission

Every tool that stores your knowledge in a shared cloud database is a liability — price hikes, shutdowns, and data portability nightmares are inevitable. Synap's answer is a dedicated private server for each user: standard PostgreSQL, open formats, full export at any time. If Synap disappeared tomorrow, your data keeps running.

The AI doesn't replace your thinking. It handles the filing so you can focus on the thinking.

The platform

  • 14 built-in entity types — notes, tasks, contacts, deals, articles, and more
  • 12+ view types — kanban, table, calendar, graph, whiteboard, timeline
  • Any AI model — Claude, GPT-4, Gemini, or local via OpenRouter
  • Dedicated private server per user — standard PostgreSQL, full SQL + JSON export
  • Self-hostable via Docker Compose on any Linux VPS
  • Full tRPC + REST API with 18 scopes
