Commands enable a faster, more efficient AI experience. You can:
• Summarize selection — Highlight text and run a command. Thanks to commands, one click gives you a concise summary.
• Generate from a template — e.g. “Draft an email about X”. Commands let you pass X as an argument and get a tailored result.
• Run from the palette — Press ⌘K, type “Run: Summarize”, and execute. Commands bring AI power into your workflow without leaving the app.
• Automate workflows — Chain commands with your data. Use placeholders like {selection} or {argument name="X"} to inject context.
Syntax
In your prompt template, use {argument name="X"} for required inputs (e.g. topic, tone). Use {selection} to inject the currently selected text or context. The AI receives the substituted prompt with your values.
