How do students use Synap?
Students capture lecture notes as text in the Browser or through a connected agent. Each note is classified by course topic and linked to related readings (article records), assignments (task records), and upcoming exams (event records). Over time Synap builds a personal graph of everything you've studied — searchable and queryable for exam prep.
Is Synap good for writing research papers?
Yes. Synap works as a research hub: capture sources as article records with extracted metadata, write notes linked to those sources, track your writing as a project, and ask your agent to synthesize connections across your reading.
How much does Synap cost for students?
A managed pod costs €20/month (a dedicated server, all views, API access), or €100/month with the intelligence service included. There is no student discount at this time. Self-hosting is free: the backend source is public on GitHub, so students can run their own pod on a small VPS instead.
